Filtrabit tours India with customer visits and the Finnish delegation to WCEF 2026
This extended trip to India by the Filtrabit management team served a dual purpose – attending multiple customer visits across the country, and being a part of the Finnish delegation to the World Circular Economy Forum.
This extended trip to India by the Filtrabit management team served a dual purpose – attending multiple customer visits across the country, and being a part of the Finnish delegation to the World Circular Economy Forum.
The trip took place from September 7 to 17, 2026. The first week included customer visits to Ramco Cements, Janki Steels, Dalmia Cements, Goa Carbon and Zuari Cements.
The Filtrabit team has visited steel industry customers in India multiple times before but this was the first time visiting cement industry sites as well. Plenty of similarities exist with the two industries when it comes to the challenges of dust control and particulate emissions, but there are interesting differences, too. The specific reasons for bag filter blinding were especially illuminating to learn about for the team.
The tight schedule of so many customer visits required heavy logistical effort from the team and local partners.
The latter half of the trip was dedicated to the World Circular Economy Forum 2026 event held in the city of Ghandinagar. Filtrabit had the honor of being part of the Finnish delegation to the forum, and received support from the Finnish Embassy in India as well as the Minister of Climate and the Environment Sari Multala herself.

The 10th World Circular Economy Forum presented unique opportunities for Filtrabit to sit down with international representatives of governmental organizations as well as key decision makers of large industrial clients.

The ongoing conversations that were started at the event center around the opportunities for capturing and returning to industrial processes the valuable raw materials that escape as dust. This approach fights particulate pollution directly, and CO2 emissions indirectly through the reduction of virgin resources needed for the same production output.
The event was well organized by the hosts, the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra and the Central Pollution Control Board of India.
About Filtrabit Filtrabit is a Finnish manufacturer of industrial-scale dust extraction systems. Filtrabit’s solution effectively extracts microparticles from industrial dust-laden gas streams, which helps reduce air pollutants from industrial sources and accelerate emissions reductions through the reuse of recovered raw materials.
