Background

Established in 2011 to develop and commercialize an innovative dust separation system.

Developed dust separation through flow modelling together with the University of Oulu. Professor Pekka Mäntylä, who participated in the study, became a shareholder in the company.

Manufactured the first flow dynamics prototypes in the early 2010s.

In 2017, the EU’s Horizon 2020 research framework programme granted Filtra Group Oy a grant of EUR 1.6 million with the highest evaluation score in the history of the programme.

Filtrabit also received funding from Business Finland and private investors.

The company’s Board of Directors includes, among others, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, former CEO of Nokia.
