Finnish cleantech company Filtrabit has secured an additional €2 million funding commitment from Ajanta Innovations 2 Ky as part of an ongoing financing round.
The funding comes as a continuation of the previous €2 million commitment from Ajanta Innovations 2 Ky at the end of 2025. The current and previous financings are directed at international growth primarily but not exclusively in the core markets of the Nordics, Central Europe and India, along with the latest expansion into the mining sector in Australia.
Demand for Filtrabit’s modular dry capture technology for industrial dust and particulate matter handling is in part accelerated by multiple regulatory changes coming into effect in 2026. Legislation is becoming stricter on either particulate pollution or employee safety in regards to Respirable Crystalline Silica (RCS) in places like the EU, Australia, the United States and China.
The additional funding affords more opportunities for Filtrabit to pursue highly strategic expansion opportunities like the move into Australia’s vast mining sector, where a shortage of water combined with extremely strict RCS legislation has customers actively looking for new, dry and modular solutions to dust control.
Dr. Kim Fagerlund, CEO of Filtrabit:
“Environmental regulations are a big demand driver for better dust control but equally, we are seeing an increased focus on the operational and economic benefits achieved by implementing the most modern raw material collection and recycling methods available.
With our technology on the way to achieving Best Available Techniques (BAT) status in the EU, we are gaining more and more recognition for both sides of that demand.
We are continually grateful for the trust of our shareholders in supporting our expansion and growth path. This commitment plays a vital role in enabling the efficient execution of our strategy.”
About Filtrabit
Filtrabit manufactures industrial-scale dust extraction systems using a revolutionary new technology based on flow dynamics. Filtrabit’s solution effectively extracts microparticles from industrial dust-laden gas streams, which helps reduce air pollutants from industrial sources and accelerate emissions reductions through the reuse of recovered raw materials.
